Councilman Vincent Sarmiento and his family have been part of our community since 1965. He attended John Muir Elementary, Sierra Elementary, and Willard Intermediate Schools. Vincent earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UC Berkeley and a law degree from UCLA.
Vincent served as law clerk for the Los Angeles County Superior Court and the Office of the District Attorney in Riverside. He was also a Legislative Fellow for the California Assembly, serving the Assembly Human Resources Committee. Vincent opened his law office in Santa Ana in 2001.
Before joining the City Council, Vincent was a member of the Community Redevelopment and Housing Commission and also served on the Historic Resources and Human Relations Commissions.
Vincent and his wife, Eva, also an attorney, have three young children, eight year old Adrian, Diego, 5 and Dahlia, aged 2.
